Clean your slide before changing to Ultra-Pure Trombone Slide Lube.
It also works well for oiling plastic trombone slides, such as pBone and Tromba slides. Put plenty of the lube on the inner slides and rub it in with your fingers to lubricate the inner tubes. Then lube the stockings and work the slide in and out to spread it.
